This tee was designed in collaboration with the Sri Chinmoy Center and features original artwork by Sri Chinmoy and Filip Pagowski.

Indian mystic and spiritual master Sri Chinmoy studied for 20 years at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry before moving to New York in the mid-1960s, when Eastern philosophy was flooding into the United States. He had been exposed to both meditation and athletics from childhood, and it is arguably his teaching at the intersection of these two practices that will have the most profound impact for generations to come. Chinmoy, a marathon was an opportunity and a method to overcome the limitations of the ego tunnel. He saw the thresholds of human potential as the most fertile ground for growth and, perhaps, self-transcendence. His legacy is carried on by countless followers around the world, with various races bearing his name, including the world's longest foot race, the "Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race", which is held around a single half-mile block in Jamaica, Queens, every summer for 52 days. This graphic was originally produced to commemorate Sri Chinmoy's seventh marathon race, the Jersey Shore Marathon in 1979, which he finished in 4:33:55 at the age of 48.
