32 years ago, Oakley® experienced a pivotal moment: the broadcast on national television of an advertisement entitled Max Fearlight. A true visual manifesto, it will establish the spirit and tone of the brand for the years that follow. In full view of everyone but never marketed, a very particular pair of glasses appears in the television spot, a model whose shapes have become those we know today as the Sub Zero. Faced with the impossible mission of creating glasses that would float in weightlessness, a lens design emerged, with a single, continuous outline, displaying a total weight of less than 20 grams. Celebrating these precious memories through revolutionary creations, the MUZM Sub Zero is a tribute to the icons of yesterday enhanced by today's technology.
Carefully crafted with rare “N” cut glass, a unique paint treatment and revamped branding, the iconic MUZM Matte Gray Smoke Sub Zero pays homage to the creativity inherited from this manifesto. Designed to fully cover your face, the wraparound, one-piece Plutonite® lens now features bold two-tone Prizm™ Snow Torch Iridium® lens technology for next-level vision with enhanced color and contrast to discern more details. Made from lightweight and durable O Matter™, the temples feature the same white Oakley branding that our hero wore when he left the bunker. Carefully balanced, the frame is also constructed with the Three-Point Fit System for all-day comfort and optimal retention.
