According to highly reliable sources, the puzzle was invented by Julius Caesar who discovered a sexy picture of Cleopatra in Vercingetorix's office. Enraged, he tore her into 1000 pieces. To relax (and because the photo was really good), he still spent a weekend gluing the pieces of paper back together. Proud of his work and at peace with himself, he finally decided to display it in his living room.
