The Vaporfly 4 is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. Lighter and more propulsive than the Vaporfly 3, the Vaporflys, Nike’s high-performing racing shoe built for all runners—trusted from the mile to the marathon.  Lighter upper, midsole and outsole than previous model Higher plate angle Lower heel-to-toe drop Nike ZoomX, their most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before with a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy feel. The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate sits at a higher angle compared to the plate in the Vaporfly 3. It combines with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a propulsive feel on race day.

Nike reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3. Engineered mesh helps reduce the weight of the shoe while providing a more consistent fit.
